I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you and all the support you've given me. It is a difficult time in life when you have a child (or children) with disabilities and challenges, and things can be so overwhelming!!
Not knowing how things work, and what is available can be so frustrating.
I mean, how does one know what to ask for when there is no way of understanding what is even available.
Many thanks for being there for me every step of the way. For showing me how it works now, and how it works in the future, so that I can let go of the anxiety and the worry. Now I can look to the future with a plan and some hope, instead of worry and stress of the unknown.
You have gone above and beyond what I ever knew was possible. There are no words to express my gratitude. Because you have gone out of your way to provide the support and care, I can better do my part to be a better mother to my kids!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!
"We have had the pleasure of having Michelle work with us for some years now. She has proven time and again she has our daughter's best interests at heart. On occasion Anne and myself have a "blonde moment" Michelle has always helped to correct the problem. We feel that you may have no greater employee working for you. We feel fortunate that Michelle is our Support Coordinator."
"Navigating services for your disabled child can be at least as intimidating as caring for the child themselves. When I decided to self-administrate our Respite care so that my child could use more of her funding for other things, I realized that we were heading into uncharted waters by giving up the services of a professional agency. Andréa has been a wonderful advocate for us in helping us to find resources and know what all our choices are when making a decision. Her ability to run interference for us has saved me untold amounts of stress, aggravation and wasted time and helped us make sure our child’s needs were being met and she was thriving. Her help and support continues to be an integral part of my child’s care plan."
"This week's emergency guardianship case of was an excellent example of many professionals working together to protect this man from the abuse he was experiencing in his home. This man's words to his Day Program staff this morning of, "Thank you for protecting me" along with the hug say it all! Think of this - all of the following people had a part in making this emergency guardianship go smoothly and efficiently" - regarding Daniel Fischer, Support Coordinator
"Amanda Anderson (Support Coordination Services of Utah) is my son’s support coordinator in Price. She has always been good to work with and has always tried to meet his needs and the needs of our family. She is easy to talk to and I feel I can call her anytime our needs change and she is willing to work with me. Not only does she care about my son and his needs, but through my work I see her taking that same interest all who she serves."
"All of the people that I have associated with who have Michelle as their service coordinator absolutely love her. They all have made it a point to tell me how great she is. I have watched her interface with some of the clients and she does a great job. If the rest of your coordinators are of similar caliber my compliments to your organization. Thanks for all you do to serve this demographic!"
"I have had the privilege of working with Tracy Velasquez these past couple of months as she has taken over my brother (Paul) 's support coordination.
We moved Paul up from St George in June and when I interviewed for his support coordination I was looking for someone who would be an aggressive, professional who would look out for Paul's well being and would know the ropes in this arena.
Tracy has more than lived up to my expectation. She is definitely involved and smoothly but firmly directs and oversees Paul's care. Just as important to me is the personal tenderness she exhibits in her interactions with Paul.
Thank you for employing Tracy. I don't know what she is being paid, but she definitely is worth every penny and then some."
I wanted to let you know how much you mean to our family and especially our daughter. As a mom of 3 special needs children am and will always be a little on the crazy side. But thanks to you and the love and kindness you show our family I make it from one minuet to another. You are always there for me, and our family, no matter the time. Thank you for all the services you help us fight for, all the phone calls to the state you make on our daughters behalf, the unconditional love and support you give to our family. The last 2 years have been so trying and with health scares, knew diagnoses, and the addition of the twins you have never left our side. Thanks for always being willing to serve and support me as a mom and helping me to navigate the system. You have been instrumental in keeping me sane! It is this kind of love and support that gets me through the tough times, the weeks when my husband is out of town, the sleepless night. You are the reason we make it through the hard times. For all the little things and the major crises you help me through! Always Freyja
PS. I hope you know how much you mean to me as a friend!! and a Support to Elizabeth and our family. Truly with out you we would be a mess and lost in this awful system we are trying to fight!! You have gotten me through some of the hardest days of my life! Thanks for always answering my calls and texts!!
I'll refer every parent/guardian I know of persons with disabilities. She is authentic, and persuasive, in advocating for clients, straightforward in filing reports, and has demonstrated a deep knowledge of the often-complex workings, usually administrative, of helping people with disabilities. I haven't seen a better support coordinator. - About Rachel Holmstead
"You are the best! Thank you for all you do. I know your efforts are often above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks!"
